Airing some Sunday night's on the travel channel.
The reason I say some Sunday night's is because it was only a mini series of 4 episodes where you got to see a behind the scenes look at a company called Distortions who makes all kinds of horror or sci-fi props.
The family owned business has been around since the 70's and they are very talented people. During the shows featured they made a gigantic stage prop for Alice Cooper's last music tour, 4 aliens and a space ship for the alien museum in New Mexico, did a ton of props to sell in the Transworld (Haunted house owners convention once a year) show in St. Louis, Missouri, and countless other projects that were shown from start to finish. I was very impressed and would love to have them build something for me someday!
I love just about anything that's creative and this show was no different. They did everything from full body props, masks, machinery, make-up, painting, construction, and installation all with about 7 or 8 employees total. It's really amazing that they can do so much with so few people. And no matter what kind of problems crop up they can always fix them in time.
Catch it if you like horror movies, or Halloween like me.
