Running Time: 127 minutes
Rated R (NOT for kids at all)
The breakdown: A police detective is tracking down a murderer of a former rock star who died in a terribly brutal way during sex. The detective meets up with the girlfriend of the rock star who just happens to be a crime novelist and has a murder happen in one of her books just like how the rock star died. The detective is very suspicious of her and realizes she is a very manipulative and dangerous woman, but he can't find any evidence that she did it. He believes if he gets close enough to her she will tell him that she killed her old boyfriend, but more and more people die the closer the couple gets, and she looks less and less guilty of murder.
So I have to say the only reason I watched this one was to get the controversy sex stuff rumors put to rest for me. I had to know what all the fuss was about. Yes Sharon Stone had a great body and her character was sex driven in this film. There is a lot of nudity and sex scenes that are really hot. Yes, her vagina has it's own scene in the movie so if you ever wondered what it looked like......
But overall, it was a bit confusing with all the twists and turns. It ended up being just ok for me and something I wouldn't watch again, but at least I know what it was all about. Certainly not the best thriller I've ever seen, but not the worst either. There's a couple of dumb scenes, but don't say I didn't warn you. If you really want to see it, then by all means be ready for lots of sex and nudity.
I give it 2 1/2 out of 5 for hot love scenes and an attempt to be twisty and tricky, but it wouldn't have been so popular if it hadn't been for all the sex scenes.
