The breakdown: A sheltered domestic macaw is called upon by an animal specialist to mate with a female of his own kind to keep the endangered bird species alive, but he and his owner have to travel to Brazil to do it.
This looked like a cute movie and I got through the first ten minutes ok, but then I realized something. Jesse Eisenberg and Anne Hathaway were the main characters in it and I can't stand either one of them, especially, Eisenberg, so that turned me off pretty quick. After the first ten minutes, I have to admit, I fast forwarded through it and stopped at some intervals to see what was going on. I don't think I missed anything I would've enjoyed. The humor was aimed at kids and was often too goofy for me to tolerate. I love some animated films, but this wasn't one of them.
I say skip and watch Wall-E instead. Or maybe Finding Nemo.
2 out of 5 for some brilliantly colored animations, but not a cast I enjoy hearing or watching act.
